Default Is this the correct set up for a GFB bov?

So i've got this GFB bov attached to my top mount on my MY00. Problem is im trying to find a stock one to replace it as im not a fan of a noisy bov (on here when i brought it a few months ago).

Does it look like its set up right? It looks as if its hooked up to plum back but also have a trumpet on it. Can I just cap the trumpet off while I wait for a factory bov to pop up?

2 reasons, to try to quiet it down a bit for less gayness, and secondly to try to keep the ecu happy with fuelling between gearshifts.

see how the plub-back vent is closer to the tmic than the atomo vent

this is so you can induce it to vent tom plumb back by getting off the gas softer, when you get off it harder it will vent to atmo also

don't worry about putting a stock one on there just unscrew the trumpet & get a screw in cap for it from MTQ

you're adjustment screw (where the vac line goes on) is also fully screwed in making it vent harder (and louder) unscrew it & it will be quieter and vent softer, looks like you're locking ring is missing though & thats why its screwed in tight

^ can confirm this too, the air fuel ratio is very sensitive and your fuel consumption will be higher than normal

Also that particular trumpet is the one that makes it as loud as possible i believe, so the setup is somewhat odd.

Ok i'm gonna take the trumpet off, and back the adjustment screw off and take it for a spin, back in 5!
