Default What gauges and why.

Hi, I've spent some time over the past years playing with turbo cars and I've decided I'll ask the following question:

What Gauges do you have? "aftermarket"

And why do you have them / what do they tell you?

I've got a boost gauge for checking that my car isnt over boosting and for the time when I decided to put the boost up.

So please let me know what gauges you have and what they show you: EG oil temp, what is a safe temperature and when should you be concerned?, same with exhaust etc.. I mean heck.. What's the point in these gauges unless you know what your reading!

Yep I've searched "has not shown me much information" I just thought it would be good to get this information all up in one thread.

None! Gauges are gay and most of the time unnecessary (for the average Joe). As you said most/some people don't know what they're reading anyway.

MXL Strada Dash is what you want!

Awesome, I'm lookIng at going PowerFC sometime down the line.

I think I'd still like the Boost Gauge.. Only because I can't remember having a turbo car without one!

I have 0 gauges atm, but getting my defi's delivered shortly.

1x boost- Make sure she's holding boost/not spiking ect
1x Oil press - Don't want the engine without oil now do we?

Thats all i think i'd need to be happy everything is going smoothly.

Blitz mechanical boost gauge to see what kind of boost my motor is running and how it's running (ie. any surges, spikes, etc.). Blitz eBC which has an electronic display which shows peak boost, current boost, graphs and records boost levels over a 30 second time period AND a Blitz R-VIT that tells me a few things (air fuel correction, battery, o2voltage, AFM voltage, rpm warning, etc.)

Works for me.

Out of all the mods I did on the Pig, this was definitely one of my favourites.

I can't believe I am endorsing a product with this name on it...........

Although this kicked it's ass

Fuk I miss it!

I got a set of 4 Defi gauges. Boost, Coolant temp, Oil temp and Oil Pressure.

All wank factor.
