i need to replace my starter motor and am wonder will a GC8 2000 club spec evo 4 Starter moter fit my standard 2000 wrx club spec evo 4 thankyou in advance.

Same car no?

However any GC8 starter motor will fit, pretty sure any 5 speed GD up to 07 will fit as well

There are three types of starter to suit 5 speeds. Early ones have a reduction starter with the motor mounted above the solenoid, later ones have a traditional non reduction starter and twin turbos have a different one altogether. Basically, aside from the wiring length all starters from manual trans cars will fit single turbo set ups. It's always better to stick with the same type as originally fitted though.
