Default Changing Parklights on a Bugeye WRX.

Hi All,

I did some research on how to change park lights on a bugeye wrx and most sources say you have to take out the whole light unit.

Just wondering if there was any other way or tips/shortcuts that anyone may know to replace these lights?

.....if not then thats okay

Thanks!

It's been a while since I've changed globes but I'm pretty sure I had to take out both headlights to do it.

correct, remove grill, remove 2 pieces next to the headlights, unplug headlights, undo 3 bolts and remove.

1-2min job they pop straight out the back, twist left or right and pull. No need 2 remove the whole headlight...(might need to loosen the battery to reach the left side one)

For the HIDS (which are hopefully BI-Xenon H4's) just pull off the rubber backing, un-clip the wire, then there are two clips which you will need to push inwards then lift up and out, then just pull out the globe (Be careful not to touch the new bulbs!)

But tbh maybe it would just be easier to remove the whole headlight.. that way you can mount all your boxes etc.

Hope it helps!

I got them both done easily without taking the headlights out at all - parklights. Replaced them with a LEDs. For the HID's, if you are retrofitting HID's (projectors) into a Bugeye WRX, easier to pull the headlight assy out. I would suggest the hardest part would be wiring them in! Or are you using HID's in the standard bugeye reflector housings?
