Default Alarm won't disable what dies it affect?

Guys if alarm won't disarm due to faulty Subaru key will the dash not light up when key turned to on position..

The stereo comes on when key turned. Pumps obviously don't prime.

We think the alarm won't disable hence even putting in the keypad code the car still won't fire.

Just bypass it, if possible.

You need to unlock the car with the keyless entry to disarm the main alarm system, before you can enter the pin code to start the car. So, if the remote doesn't work, the car wont start.
If thats what you mean by faulty key.

Yes it's the remote key that dosent function.. I've ripped out the Brant and put an autowatch alarm a couple of yrs back..

I had this issue before and we somehow got the car to unlock then I just locked the car manually with key and not use remote from key.

If dosent sort out will have to bypass it to get working..

Now Subaru rekon I need to bring car in for them to make me a new key however I can't understand y I just can't bring in the fken module..

But to my question will the Sti dash not light up if alarm is not disarmed?? We need to pinpoint whether there might be something else wrong with the wiring

Sounds like fun. Would laugh at Subaru's reaction to the car if you took it to them.

if you've tried a battery and the remote still doesn't work, assuming the battery is up the right way. Then you need a new remote. You have to buy a new key, can't buy the remote on its own. And you need the car there so the key can be coded to the car.

Thats why they (we) need the car, its a bit hard for our laptop to communicate with a black box sitting on a desk. Communication is via the ecu

Will this still work even though I don't have the standard ecu??

Is there a way of bypassing the system!

Or can it be Manually disarmed from the module direct? Then I'll come get it sorted once car is running..
