Buy half cut and get reputable workshop to do the rest? Cost will depend on half cut you choose to get etc

Better question is why? Do you have a particular reason for keeping hold of the car over selling and buying another??
Much much cheaper in the long run just to purchase one. Not to mention on resale the real STI will be worth much much much more than a conversion!

I have done a WRX conversion a few years ago and am currently doing an STI. My advice is if you don't feel comfortable or capable of doing the work yourself then don't bother, as it will cost you alot more than it is worth.

+1000

Unless it is something special RA/S series etc it is not worth it unless you do the work yourself.

yeah, just buy a WRX / STI. I looked into it and it's not viable unless you do all the work yourself. Even then, chances are you'll be left with a half finished car and never quite happy with it.

Unless you do what JME did and buy an S204 half cut and a local GX shell and get it done properly!

Doing it properly = more than buying a Sti

Doing it = resale is worth NOTHING

Doing it = alot of satisfaction if you want something to call your own etc.

Depends what you want and budget.
