Default Headlight - 3 in 6 months

Hi All,

I just realized that my headlight globe has died again. This is a 3rd one in 6months. They are Narva (or was it Phillips) Arctic Blue (4000K). I am wondering what could be causing them to die.
After one side dies, the other side dies pretty soon as well. Just realized that the parking light globe also died and this hasn't happened before.
They are on all the time when driving, and sometimes I start the car with the headlights on (forget to turn them off before I turn the car off).
Can anyone suggest what it could be, or recommend a good honest car electrician, preferably mobile. Thanks

Adi

Starting the car with the headlights on will shorten globe life as the system voltage drops when cranking then spikes after starting.
Also having them all the time will shorten the life too.

HIDs with relay wired directly to the battery. Fixed.

I am aware that running them all the time will shorten their life, but for them to last only 2-3months...cars in Europe are required to run the lights all the time. But you have a point about starting the car with them on. will try to be more diligent in turning them off before I turn the car off.
Dave, as much as I'd love to, other drivers would hate me for having HIDs with the reflective headlights

HID's are fine in GC's. I've had them in my my98 & I have them in my STI.....Never get flashed & have been through numerous booze buses without issue.....Just make sure they're adjusted correctly.
