Not if its a 0 km block thats never been run, it'd still have the nice factory hone with the appropriate cross hatching marks to enable good ring sealing..

that looks like a good mm or so of clearnace, huge amounts, there are shops that can measure that for you and tell you just how much clearance there is..

If the pistons are bobbling back and forwards like that, wouldnt the workshop have wondered why the hell they went into the bores so damn easily, when they built the motor??

There's more to this than meets the eye. Pending legal action I wont comment on specifics like identity of engine builder etc.
If anyone knows of a lab in WA that does Non-Destructive Testing (Radiography or X-Ray) I'll appreciate the tip.

i just had the heads off mine that have cosworth pistons in it and mines about half to a third of that. shit id be pissed .
