The Suby at standard level
Default Yellow sticker - good place to be inspected?

Hi all,

Yep, got yellow stickered the other day. I'm getting too old for that crap heh, teach me for having a stupid HID kit in my Series1Gen1 Legacy wagon. I didn't like them anyway. That's the only defect they wrote down - apparently they "raise the voltage up to dangerous levels"...

Nothing really wrong with the car, just a few things to fix up I think;
- Revert headlights back to factory spec.
- Put a few plastic bits back on the dash
- Get a small exhaust leak I've been putting off getting fixed up done

Buddy was just telling me that these days a bunch of private workshops are now also acting as vehicle inspection centres, and I don't have to be restricted to just the usual licensing centre inspection places now.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for a place which is reasonable to passing slightly modded Suby's ?

Not sure if I should take the coilovers out, it's a bloody bouncy ride in my car but I've got them set plenty high.

thanks in advance!

If it were me I'd be reverting as much back to factory as possible before going over the pits.

So yes, R&R the coilovers, then R&R again once over.

Curious to know the difference between using the pits or private company, if any?

went to the private place in osborne park, they may or may not have passed me with a full 3" exhaust, 150 cell mid-pipe cat, a larger cat-less up pipe and nothing else

I'd have asked the silly twat how an HID kit could possibly raise the voltage. How frustrating! Sometimes I am convinced that the constabulary know little to none about cars at all =/

Hope your car passes with flying colours mate :-)

My understanding is a yellow sticker can't be contested in court either so its win/win.

Even if it can be contested in court by the time its sorted you'll either have an unregistered car or be forced to have the work done anyway.
