Do you thrash your car or what? I get 150kms before its hit the 3/4 mark on the gauge...usually 550km for a tank in mine. No mods

More info would be great. Fuel economy is effected buy a few things. Your driving style, city/ country driving, mods, faulty parts such as air flow meter, o2 sensors, air filter blockage, air leaks, tune even tyre pressures and wheel alignment

Orly?

Regulator holds pressure nothing to do with fuel volume or fuel consumption, plus it's at the end of the fuel rail after the injectors....

The tune & the injector duty cycles it produces directly affect the consumption.

A dead oxygen sensor or Ecu water temp sensor will cause it to run rich all the time & drink the go go juice.

A dead AFM causes lean running & awesome economy (whilst it's parked for a rebuild)

I have an atmo bov, 272 cams, I run 25psi.......I still get 400-450 km on 3/4 of a tank, average fill is 45 litres = 9-10l/100km approx.

Is it tuned? What ecu?

Sorry didn't read what I wrote, yes fuel pressure reg only regulates pressure, ecu controls fuel quantity
My bad
