Thanks for all the offers guys. I just got back from biking to the two nearest servos and neither of them had one. I might be texting some of you very soon.

if you dont find one you could try-
cable ties or wire
drill a small hole thru whats left of the clamp/terminal & put a bolt or thru it.
or clamp it on with locking vice grips

First thing I thought was twitch some fencing/welding wire or even some coat hanger wire around it nice and tight. Should get you to work at least.

Had the same thing happen to me last year . Car electrician was changing the battery and it just snapped so he just banged it back on, as long as the metal is touching you should be right just cable tie it as a temporary solution

Scott, here's an idea.....Do you have a set of jumper leads? If so, use the jumper leads to connect the battery post to the remains of the positive terminal. Make sure none of it can touch the bodywork and drive to work. Thewn get a terminal tomorow from an auto parts shop and install it then. Note; once the car is running there is very little current going back to the battery, the alternator is suplying the power to run the car through the remains of the broken battery terminal even if it has come off the battery. It's not good for the alternator to be disconnected from thew battery while the car is running but it will still continue to run even if it does disconnect.

Wow my bush mechanic skills seem to be quite lacking. I never thought of either of those suggestions.

It's ok now guys Mao has come to the rescue and is on his way.

However, a huge thank you to everyone who offered to help and who looked in their sheds and garages.

Strong with Perth WRX, the force is.
