you may need to install an oil pressure/tempurature sensor for the haltech, as normally/factory wiring for ECU's do not give a toss about oil

Highly doubt you would need one. How hot could it really get after 5 laps of barbs? I would be more worried about oil and fuel surge.

a bit of an old thread dig here -

So oil coolers are not really required for the occasional barbs and skid pan?
How about baffled sumps and upgraded oil pickups?

Just want to be prepared and do any preventative stuff that's needed as it's the first time on track with the wrx.

So, is it worth the effort, cost & risk of fireball?

I run an oil cooler, however that is to cope with the heat of anti-lag and warmer rallies. Purchased the cooler & oil filter sandwich plate from Go_gear. I also bought the right size & length braided hoses and speed flow fittings from them too. We fabricated custom alloy brackets to fit it to the rally car in the correct position. Works well. Not really required for occassional motorsport use. Biggest issue is a good fuel pump (Warlbro etc), clean injectors and fuel filter.
