another set of wheels should fix it gav

probably the pillowball failing, same thing happened on my foz, wasn't even that much movement in the ball joint once removed but even tiny bit of slop results in movement & clunking low speed over bumps, swap to the bushed type aluminium whiteline ones like these:

Same thing happened to me. It turns out is the lower control arm bolt came loose... Maybe the cusco H brace is too stiff. Check urs if u have H brace too.

Jim at Bluestar checked it out for me today, nothing's loose, I think it's going to be the end links, or the coilovers.

Hope it's not the coilovers as they are brand new, would have Barely done a 1000 Km's.

Could be coil bind. Some times the coil top hat doesnt spin freely and the coils bind and the hat turns. I had that and just had to lube up the top rose joint.

Does that mean spring preload is too high?

no, russ means the rose joint at the top is too tight, so after making quite a few turns the coilover effectively unscrews itself from the the lower bracket, thus making loose clunking noises

do you have ally LCA's gav? if so i'm not sure if you can actually use the whiteline items i mentioned above
