Default Ecu tunning

Hey notice my car is running rich on fuel and Stechnic has told me as they checked my car out, But the previous owner did a retune in november and hardly drove the wrx. FIFO since then its only done about 1,000km or less and has no modifcation since then.

The current ECU is Link 44s was done at ASG novmeber

Anyone know what else place does tunning for Link? as Malaga is a fair bit of a drive, So any suggestions of other tunners for link.

Take it back to asg and get them to play with tune a bit more if you feel it's running rich, it's also possible they've set it up like that for a reason,
I'd rather drive a bit further and get a good tune , rather than fork out for a rebuild

Hmm I dont think it wouldnt be set like that for a reason, as the car was fine until a month or so it started blowing blackish greyish smoke. When taking off at time and even starting the car it does puff a little of blackish smoke. But otherwise the compression etc are all good and the cars mechanically sound. Btw when stepping on the gas while free gear and letting it go..it stalls

Also what do you mean btw "rather than fork out for a rebuild"? are you suggesting that other places aren't quallified

If its stalling then something needs tweaking

I'm not saying other workshops aren't qualified to do it, I'm in no position to speculate on that, but don't not go somewhere because you have to travel a bit further
At the end of the day, your car, your choice.

If its stalling your proberbly looking at an afm problem(common issue on subarus) all star tuned the car in the first place so take it back to them.dont be a tight ass because you don't want to travel. Do it right the first tome

First of all with all respect its not due to the cost issue, its the schedule as I contacted ASG and I need to leave the car there for a day. Which is really inconvienience as to getting back to my house which is 40mins away. So the reason for this post is not about saving money or being "tight ass" its find other options to who else tunes Link ecu

New motor plus install ... Say $5k. Your house is 40 mins away. Both ways 1:20.

You're Bill Gates? Your time is worth that much?

Not trying to be rude . You play you pay whether time or money ...

I never said anything about money, almost every work shop will tell you leave your car with them as diagnostic and dyno time isn't a 10min job. Get someone to pick you up or catch a bus to the city or something
