That issue sounds like something I'm having.
Thought it was to do with the Brant security system which wouldn't let me turn the car back on within 10 minutes of me turning it off :P
Got that taken out but it has still done it once more, but only once since then.
MY01 though so if it is security system related, surely your MY05 wouldn't be affected by the same thing.

Yeah, think ill put the globes back in. Or buy some new globes

Just did another test with the multi-reader. This time with car running it was reading 13.6v, with the aircon on and high beam the voltage went to 12.4. I then turned the aircon and high beams off and the voltage stayed at 13.0v

Is that too low? Or is that normal?

Too low.
14.4v is needed to charge the battery properly.

Ok Thanks

Must be the alternator, or some kind of bad ground or something.

Try putting a normal globe back in place of the charge light.
As stated previously in some systems this is needed for the alternator to function properly

So I ended up putting the stock globes back into the cluster and the battery light went off! yay! The revs seem better and car runs smooth again. Cant believe the LEDS made such a issue. Anyways with stock globes everything seems fine again.
Thanks for all the ideas and help with the issue
