Default Low boost reading

Hey guys ive had a recent dilemma with my wrx....
It runs a tbe fmi and manual boost controller. Has been excellent and running fine on 12psi in all gears. Until last night it has started reading a max of 7psi in 2nd 9psi in 3rd etc...
Runs great though :s no loss of power if anything its spooling quicker and feels more responsive. Im wondering if its the digital gauge playing up or a map sensor. Will test with a vacuum gauge when i get some vacuum hose. Anyone had a similar issue?

All hoses are fine and still in place, could even be a faulty wastegate actuator. Ive read that when they fail it will only read 7psi.

If you plug the yellow plugs under the drivers side dash together and turn the car to acc (do not start the car) it should cycle the boost control solenoid. Least you can rule that out from being fucked. Make sure tou unplug the yellow plugs when you are done.

Pretty sure if the actual wastegate actuator is fucked the wasetgate would stay closed and you would just continue to make more and more boost.

Unfortunately it has a manual boost controller so the boost control solenoid is disconnected.

Negative, my failed wastegate actuator reads 17PSI and no more. Spring has shat itself and even on 100 duty will only push to just over 17.

Could be a problem with your manual boost controller, mine shat itself and would only boost to 7 psi as that's waste gate pressure.

Damn i just sold a turbosmart manual controller a few weeks ago i thought i would never need. Oh well. Ill connect the factory controller back up to see what happens. What size restrictor pill for the TD04. ive heard from 0.9-1.1mm depending on turbo set ups.

Hooked up the factory controller and the boost fluctuates between 10-15 psi under full load.
