Would one be able to buy these locally for under $950, non-fitted tyres only, 245-40-18?

Cheers

Shane from what I picked up from reading reviews they're meant to be close to rcomp performance...would be good if someone whose used them in a full racing environment could confirm.

Rich I honestly don't mean to be rude, but please ring any tyre shop or john or wworld and I can guarantee you that they'll sort you out with the right information...

Please read the first post, was clear about what this thread is about, trying to keep it based on factual usage experience and performance rather than a debate of where and who supplies the tyre or who's the best tyre fitter.
Any of the suppliers just mentioned will be your best source of info

I ran both at last collie... R - comps are still at a whole different level. My lap times improved dramatically with the r comp purely because they just hung on a lot more.

If you want good times, r comp. If you want a street able tyre that can do well on the track, AD08.

Ok Rossco... seriously no hard feelings. I wasn't being rude, asked very politely to keep this thread to the point.
Anyway I give up Rossco, do what you want, you pick on absolutely everything...not worth me even trying to have a solid thread. Have a nice day, seriously I mean it.
And if I was wrong asking Rich to stick to the point as I thought prices/shops was irrelevant, then sorry to you Rich.

Having just spoken to WW and John Fowler yesterday regarding some AD08R, the prices are almost similar, but John offers them a little bit cheaper

And the service John provides is top class so no complains from me

You are discussing a tyre - cost is a very valid point to discuss ffs.

I give up on this....please discuss whatever you see fit in this thread.
RJ, you get the idea from the first 5 or so posts in the thread, the feedback is all similar.

A bit more in-depth discussion will only add more value. You created the thread with a good direction, don't need to throw a wobbly if it's scope is expanded...it's all relevant to your topic.
