many years ago BMW used closed loop at idle causing a gradual reduction to fueling and this lead to rough running and stalling.

Im not saying this is what is happening to you.

My MY15 Premium has always had a slight misfire on cold start, but recently is combining quite a bad miss with rising revs to 2k for 10-15 secs before settling. only started after first service, at which dealer said the misfire was normal... it's starting to worry me a bit.

I think I'll press the issue further.... out of interest, which dealers are you guys using?

I misfire is not normal on a car especially if it's getting worse bloody dealers , yep investigate this further with the dealer they just don't like dealing with problems...

Just checkin if you got this sorted? Took my my15 for her first service and they did a ECU recall apparently. After the service and upgrade it's been running sweet! Fixed misfiring issue completely.
