Default weird shuddering

my 2000 wrx did something weird the other day just after getting a turbo timer installed. i was taking off slowly from a stop sign bout 3k rpm and released clutch slowly, the car shuddered so i put the clutch back in and gave it higher revs around 4-4.5krpm and released the clutch slowly it then shuddered like it was going to stall, i put the clutch back in and tryed to take off again and was fine, i have been driving it for a few days whith no problems and no shuddering to speak of and then today it did the same thing except today it smelt like something was burning. just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

but it does it twice then stops, i only put it up to that higher rpm cause it felt like it was going to stall at lower revs. it wasnt so much shuddering, it just felt like it was going to stall

in some situations warped flywheel shudder will only happen when the vehicle is cold and goes away when warm.. was ur engine cold on the said 2 occasions ?

hmmm, this still could be the issue because the car idling for 5 mins might not of heated the flywheel enough for it not to shudder. but thats my input anyway...
