Default Immobiliser Problem

Hello Good People

Just had a problem with my WRX not starting. I had to pick my wife up at the Perth Arena after she had a seizure and so parked in the security section. I got out to collect her but didn't lock the car. I am not sure what was different but afterwards the car would not start. I entered the code on the pin pad (Autowatch not Brandt) and it displayed the green light but the car wouldn't start. Entered it again and same result. Gave it a few minutes and still nothing. I ended up having the car towed home. On a whim I tried it again after the driver dropped it off and it started first time.

Any ideas?

Is this the remote key pad with the four keys?

Try pressing the unlock button closer to the receiver. I have the same problem near that area.

Its this one. It appeared to work perfectly. The only thing I can think of was that one of the doors was not closed properly when it self armed itself. I even changed the batteries in the remote just in case

Yep, same as mine. Try what I said just then next time. Hold the remote closer to the receiver ( should be near the passenger foot rest). I always have the same problem as yours near the Arena or Roe st. There seems to be something jamming the signal in that area.

Thanks Matto, still love being married though, but maybe next time I will just tell her to take the train home.
