Default R180 bearing cage failure

Hey all

Having issues with the bearing cage on my r180 rear inner cv breaking

I have currently 285 hp and 378nm and have vipec launch control set at 5k building 15psi .. However due to smashing the shafts before i generally dont let it build that high anymore

Bascily i can get 4-5 launches per cv before they let go and have to limp home in fwd

My rear end is a 06 spec c 3;54 r180 diff, 04 r180 rear axels, 04 sti rear hubs with a exeedy hd organic 6spd clutch

My control arms are whiteline adjustable Ones i first thought my issue was these are at 04 sti length to match my front track and the gc8 r180 inner cv died

I put in down to a miss match in track width so got the gd axels. However after 4 launches same issue has anyone else killed a few r180s like this?

Im realistic i no that it puts alot of load and shock on the driveline but surely it can handle more than this

Love to hear tour thoughts/ suggestions of what i can look for

I really wanna be able to launch its half the fun if having an awd

Any idea if they are OEM CV joints or aftermarket Chinese replacements?
I've just blown the cage in the outer CV on the Honda and enquiries around the suppliers put it down to poor quality materials / parts. Given this is where virtually all parts are being made these days, the only alternative put forward were specialist shafts as above.

Hi Is it the same side that is failing ? eg drivers side or passengers side ?
I have only broken the occasional CV / axil doping it a 6000 rpm( No launch control) with 400 whp 510nm and 255 tyres. So getting it spinning will help I guess! (3:9)
(But I guess at the sticky surface of the drags and 3:54 diff, it is tall order to get it to spin)

If it is the same side, check the LSD is working correctly
