Anyone else had problems with their ECU on the 06 models??? After I put my exhaust on I have had nothing but dramas, should never have taken it to APC in the first place though!
It was overboosting so I got EcuTek which seemed to solve the problem but on the freeway yesterday I put my foot down in 5th at about 4000rpm and the engine cut again after it hadn't done it since I put the Tek in.
On top of that I blew a hose of the Turbo last night as well, not a happy boy. Easy to fix but scared the shit out of me!
Anyone got any ideas on what to do next? Has anyone else had these problems?

Take it to your tuner - they can check (& clear) the error code & make appropriate adjustments. How many times is it flashing?

what they said re CEL. I have 06 STi and installed a 3" S/S Greddy Trust Catback with no issues but add the down pipe to the equation is certain to lead you to the tuner! Where did you have ecutek done?

All you need to do is void the checksum check at startup..then remove the CEL register.

Failing that you just need a resisitor to keep the sensor probe at the dump-pipe reading a normal operating temp.

engine cut out, sounds like your getting boost spikes. If you have an ecutek fitted, best you have your tuner have a look at it asap.
