$2200 I'm curious to some other members on here, what would a 6 speed set you back nowdays?

More than 2200 as you will need tailshaft,matching diff shifter assembly clutch and flywheel if the 5 speed on is not bugged labour etc etc trust me I have done this twice

6 speed conversion is 6-7k

Can you give a break down on costs to show how you come to that figure?

largely depends on cost of the box, but you're looking at 3k absolute minimum for that, plus diff, mounts, tailshaft, shift linkage, possibly dccd bits plus labour to install.

This is the approximation I got from stechnic a couple of weeks ago and ASG gave me today, plus someone on here had a 6 speed installed just before christmas for 6k

Smashed my second gear a few months ago so have been looking into it

I did my 6 speed swap for 5200

2010 dccd 6speed
06 spec c diff
And foz auto tail shaft
But i did all labour at home on jack stands
