i added a washer to mine as it didn't line up very well, I think it might be a GD brace on a GC brake booster. i didn't want it to try drilling through ...

Installed, annoying fiddly fkn job!! Dunno if its just on the MY99, but shit you need small hands! Noticed fuck all difference, how tight should i tension it??

if you dont notice the difference, you probably never pushed the brake pedal hard enough before!!
tighten it till it feels irresponsibly tight, otherwise your not putting any tension on the master cylinder.

Changed to a longer high tensile socket head bolt and used a cap of a clamp to give it a flat surface to press on the cylinder. Tightened to "irresponsibly tight" as suggested by stace and it seems quite firmer now.
Pic: Doesnt sit in the centre of the cylinder bit on contact though, does this matter??
