Fair enough. Seems strange to recommend a huge power increase to someone who only just got their license.

I would go power first as well. Maybe because I had a 420hp xr6 turbo when I was 19?

Shit does get scary though when your trying to pull up 2 tonne worth of car and your brakes fade

I just got 260whp on my 09 wrx with q300 tbe, verticooler and custom tune on 17psi. If there is a way way for me to get to 300 without running more boost on stock internals or e85 I would be interested to know how.

Hence this thread. possibly headers or intake manifold and pump ?

Yeap that sounds about right to me out of curiosity what was it stock if you had run ?

Definitely don't have plans to go past 17psi even 18psi from what I've been hearing is on the edge on what can considered safe for wrx internals.

brodz beware of american threads/video their dyno's are not most accurate. Ive seen people claim 330hp-400hp just from air intake, tbe and those access port's from cobb

At a guess i would say it was about 200-210 before mods and tune. It was 220 after mods and before tune.

I've upgraded to a bigger turbo and all that fun stuff and my ej205 is putting out 275 atw on 22psi on stock internals... the motor has no problem with that boost level. But in saying that all motors are different

My days running the mms work shop I found the VF52 to be a very good turbo. You can keep with the stock dark blue injectors & leave the fuel pump.

Exhaust mods are the way to go as invider have a great well priced system now days, Processwest has a good inter cooler as well.

You can tune the car your self through Rom raider just set the car up to do so. It's very easy to do and your don't have to pay a lic fee and you have full control over the file on your car.
