Default MY09 wrx performance plans

Ok so finally stepping in to tuning on my09 wrx

Plans Q300+ Hi flow Cat DP, Veritcooler, headers, heat soak precautions ti wrap+ gold reflect DEI.
Should i also look into Fueling? injectors, pump, surge etc

I've abandoned my idea's for CAI just don't recon its worth the time and money.

Still want to keep the stock VF52 for the moment.

Process west intake manifold (street) is another mod i should look into over the stock plastic one? claims 9% increase torque and power

Intake Manifolds / Tumbler Deletes / Fuel Rails - Process West

Possible E85 my bros always joking with me and saying fuck everything else just put E85 in your car. He drives an FG F6. Is really worth it in the subi's especially wrx internals ? Im close to ozy park servo but still would be annoying that's the only place i could fill up. wanted to keep my car relativity safe

Goal atleast 300whp love to hear how should i go about approaching this in the next 6 months - year

Didnt you only just get your licence? If so, dont spend any money making it faster. Go to the track with it now and learn how much faster your car is compared to your ability. Even get someone who can drive really well to take it and set a time for you. I bet you wont get within 5-10 seconds over a 3 min track session.

That is very true agree 100%, still wanted to know how should approach things though.

Ill definitely take her 3 times if not more atleast before start tunning wont intall everything at once that would be crazy just turbo back and verticooler to start with.

Anyone organizing rac day soon with pwrx?

Dont bother with a pwrx track day. Join a CAMS affiliated club, get a CAMS licence and enter the next state sprint round. You could do all of that today for less than $400 and you will have the best fun ever! Only upgrade stuff after you have reached the potential of your car. Which will be in years. Not 3 track days. Nothing better than beating bombed cars in your "stock" wrx.

Agreed with Russ, I have 325hp and I'm nowhere near driving to the car's limit on a track. Goes alright in a straight line though

As far as basic power mods go. Intercooler and exhaust + tune should give you a nice bump. Fuel pump will probably help as well and is cheap enough.

Really there are dozens of threads on here and the internet in general of modding a G3 WRX. Most things have been tried and tested and the information is all out there.

Handling and stopping first, then power bro.

Do a skid pan/tuning session at RAC or Barbs where instructors get in the car with you. You will learn heaps about braking points, line choice and weight transfer, especially if they drive the car for you like Russ said.

People think track driving is like having a fang on the street round one or two corners. Driving near your limit for three minutes is not easy, and driving near your cars limit for three minutes is even harder.

Turbo back, cooler and fuel pump should get you to 300hp?

I would go power first as well. Maybe because I had a 420hp xr6 turbo when I was 19?

Shit does get scary though when your trying to pull up 2 tonne worth of car and your brakes fade

So about the same as a 270hp wrx. Strange advice sorry mate. Power doesnt make you a better driver.

BTW nothing worse than being beaten by a stock well driver wrx when you have 300-350hp.

Never said anything about power making you a better driver. Nor did I offer any advice. Just my personal opinion.
