Just when I had thought I had thought I've abandon thoughts for CAI changed my mind once again :)

What really made me rethink or get back into thinking doing it down the track was this + Hectic noises from my mates wrx

GrimmSpeed Cold Air Intake - Subaru 08-14 WRX/STI, 09-13 Forester XT - GrimmSpeed

Best engineered CAI for wrx/sti 08-14!?

So the contenders AEM +Prefilter so its not water intake ?

K&N typhoon (Not fussed possible Maf fuck up I know how to oil filters)

And of course The grimm speed

Which would you buy and why? Dont tell me to keep stockbox.

Yeah Yeah I know its not like turbo selection thread and its just CAI so who give us a shit cant really go wrong with either one I still like talking about this.

IMO the third one looks to be the cleanest install. Whose going to be tuning it?

From what I can see its the same poop as aem just with a k&n nothing wrong with it by all means just not really interested still love the brand will be picking up a verticooler later in the year.

Brodz. Mao or sean ill make my decision when I meet them myself and have a good talk about tunning then make my decision.

I don't own one but from what I've heard & read the AEM setup is one of the best in regards to setting up/tuning etc..

I upgraded from a blitz to the AEM and love it. No issues with turbulence in front of the MAF. With a fully recirc BOV it sounds like a vent to atmosphere.

Been really happy with my Process West tuned by Sean. You can just about hear it in my vid in this post (skip to the end if you get bored!)...http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/731714-post116.html

Love that dash mat! ill might have to pick up one did they custom make it for you?

Have you had issuse's with water? since its an oil type filter I'm sure it resists it slightly.

It does sound awesome all cai's for subis sound beastly, hence the op about me changing my mind

Yeah, I get a few comments about the dash mat, it's a stock item from a place in Armadale...info here.

No issues with water so far, been through a few deep puddles at speed. It's fairly well protected, being in front of the wheel, with all the block off panels etc.

BTW, I'm following your WRX wheels for sale thread...trying to talk the Mrs. into letting me get them for the Foz, but she's playing hard ball at the moment! I'll let you know if she changes her mind :icon_evil
