Yes we do.

It is a no brainer going for a 207 over a 257 in any vehicle that had a 205 or 207.

But...

Convincing someone to lose 1/2 a litre or 20% of their engine capacity in a 255 or 257 equipped vehicle is a different story.

Someone who knows what they are doing could do the swap drive in 257, drive out 207 comfortably within 2 days (MY06/07 GDB).

If I had money to piss away on an engine AND there was a viable aftermarket ECU solution for the '08 I'd happily dump a 207 in my car.

Alas, not FIFO.

I'm just going to upgrade the 257 short motor.

Btw when it comes to pistons/rods. How do Nitto compare to Cosworth? Are you paying for the name with Cosworth or are they a better option over Nitto?

Peoples experiences and knowledge on this would be great!

I think Manley piston is very good, mine doesn't have cold start knock (at least not im aware of), and havent used a drop of oil within 1200km (finger crossed).

But machining precision will have a bigger effect in performance and reliability imo. Choose your engine builder carefully.

Have heard good things about Nitto.

Cosworth is still good, however I think it sells more on it's name.

Cosworth had a great reputation years ago and seem to get away with inflated prices nowadays due to this.
