Default Turbo Beanies

Morning all,

First post back in a long while, PC at work would never load this site or its posts properly however, all that is now fixed

As we are slowly starting to come back into some warmer weather I thought now would be a great time to finally do something about my sti not running any form of heat shield around the turbo.

Has a td06-20g and was wondering if anyone else has had success with turbo beanies on this size turbo, if so which ones/brands in particular?

Any pics and info would be great. They seem to be pretty generic in regards to fitment and unfortunately I have no experience with them.

Cheers,

Shaun

Can you trim down an oem heat shield and get it to fit over the turbo?

Mine fits over the dom-1.5 easily. Not sure how big yours is though.

Unfortunately I don't have one laying around. Good idea though!

If I get super stuck and have no other choice I will hunt around for one. I would imagine I would need to cut and shut it in several places to get it to work though. I am a little OCD like that.

Think I found a decent turbo blanket though. RSD claims it fits 18G and 20G turbos well.

I have a perrin turbo blanky and a cusco turbo heatshield for sale if you want. Turbo blanky is pretty cooked, but will still hold together. Shield is SS and in VGC. I cant say for sure they will fit that exact turbo, but ive had em both on a 18g and on a dom 2.5 no worries. Pm to discuss.

I have a 08+Cobb heat shield I was going to fit myself.
Does anyone know if it will go on a VF52 without modification?
Just after a heads up before I start.

It attaches to a bracket on the downpipe. The VF52 should fit easily under it given it is an oem turbo.
