Default Noob Question MY99 on MY98

Evening All

As stated above yes I am a noob but i have googled my arse off to try and find a definitive answer but im struggling... Picked up a MY98 GF8 recently and it has a blown head gasket...due to the amount of kms on the car i ended up getting a short block with a decent amount of kms left that had new head gasket etc along with timing belt and water pump.. now the issue is it looks as though its from an MY99 as the intake manifold bolt pattern is different. i guess the question is...Can i still use this MY99 block and get a 99 manifold?? Will i come across any other dramas?? i have searched a decent amount..appreciate any help at all!!

James

I think, but i could be mistaken, that the crank angle sensor reluctor wheel is a different pattern?
