Default Help Needed!

THIS QUESTION GOES OUT TO ALL YOU GURUS:

I got a exhaust (second hand 3inch mandrel from japan off a sti), 6 speed gearbox, dca rotors and brembos installed to my car and everything was fine at normal ride height on my 04 wrx.

After lowering it with coilovers - there was a rattling sound (to me it sounds like exhaust is hitting something) when i go over small bumps or bump roads

then i got it back raised to normal height (with standard suspension) cause i thought the ratteling was from the coilovers. noise gone.

Then i installed koni shocks and kings ultra low springs and the rattlings back! enough to drive a person crazy

I was just wondering if lowering the car is cause the exhaust to hit the diff or something like that. (if so can anyone reccomend a good exhaust shop) or is it something else im not thinking of?

any help would be great

Cheers

Chris

Stiffer suspension would usually almost always result in more rattle and NVH, whether it is lowered or not.

Additionally, I'm not too sure about the use of King ultra low springs, they tend to be so low that you aren't going to get much suspension travel, which would aggravate the any NVH issues, not to mention adverse handling.

Whether or not I have answered your question, I dunno But that is my take.

Your inbox was full so I couldn't reply to your PM.

Anyways, NVH = Noise, Vibration, Harshness

Another +1 for Peter at Exhaust World Northbridge.

He modified Dylan's WRX exhaust to fit a Legacy Wagon and its great!

When My GF got her GX lowered there was this horrible rattling too, pissing me right off, even got her to drive around with me in the boot to find it...
turned out it was the king springs themselves, 'chattering' the suspension guy said. took it back, he wrapped some magic tape around it and never to be heard again...
