even a simple pod filter can get u the noise you want, thats if you wanna keep the stock bov my bov is pretty quiet but when i take my foot off the throttle my pod flutters like crazy, its a blitz sus filter in a custom air box.

Most people wont end up chipping blades, but quickly worn out bearings is bound to happen. Chipped blades only happens on some older design turbos such as the VF22.

As big as a VF22 is, it was never designed to run big boost. Initially, I beleive it was designed to run with a 34mm restrictor in place before the turbo inlet.

Yes 22 was designed purely for a restrictor. As such max required boost from it was 'upto' 1.4bar.

As for stuffed blades due to BOVs being done up too tightly...I've seen it with my own eyes on a VF22 turbo.
