screwing a box together isn't hard, getting it right is..

unless you understand how to get stuff like shimmking, bearing pre load and adjusting things like diff whiplash, and understsand them well, and how to figure if something isn't sitting right, i don't recomend trying it yourself..

There is someone i can recomend, pm me if your keen, he is not cheap, but he is by far, the best gearbox person ive ever come accross..

The rule of thumb is, if you cant build a motor, you cant build a gearbox, simple as that....gearboxes have clearances and tolerances just like an engine.

Its definitely something to leave to the pro's, the labour is the least of your worries.

The worst part would be forking out 4k for a box, and skimping on labour, only to have the box shit itself beyond repair a thousand km later. Suddenly, the labour cost seems cheap!

Take the car back to Sean, and get him to do the box for you...he has had much experience doing gearboxes, and knows how to build PPG boxes correctly.
