LOL!! I fitted Whiteline Flatouts on the advice of multiple members of this very forum! How the opinions differ... I think ultimately everyone wants something diferrent out of their car, I wanted looks, as I dont do ANY track work and the whitelines (as said) were recommended by other forum members, Leigh @ RMS and John @ Wheels World and the car has handled great on both the last p-wrx cruises I've been on, even kept with jme in LIL KIP on the summer cruise... So yeah, everyone has their own opinion I spose!

On a related matter, this may sound dumb but how do you know when your shocks are starting to go/or are gone??

Josh

If it was anything like my old struts, it made a hell of a racket over bumps and pot holes.. also felt like crap round corners.

Josh, I think they are referring to the 05 STi....flatouts might be just fine in a WRX, but for an 05 STi with all the whiz bang suspension gear, a premium product is required to maintain its integrity..

So very true.

Does anyone know how much travel would be deemed "appropraite" for a car thats primarily used for road duties/occasional track days?

save your dosh, live with the embarrasing ride height for now & do it properly the first time - coilovers.

Beware - dropping the car too much, together with negative camber up-front & more positive castor will result in rubbing against the front inside splash guard.
