Hi

As you all know ive replaced the stock gear set and went with ppg straight cut synchromesh gears , its been 1 week and its been good so far , until about 20 mins ago i just gave it a bit of push in 2nd put it in 3rd and nothing then tryed 4th nothing back to 2nd its fine 5th is good too but no 3-4 ????
i was in free way going maybe around 70-80 ish due to weather..
Im shocked could i have broken this gear box theres no cruching noise or anything raddling that i could hear ???
Could this be possible.. is it something fishy going on ???
Any info about warrenty would it cover it ???

I beleive the 1st and 2nd is the common gears that brake but 3rd and 4th I wonder..

Its been replaced now and the car should be ready by tomorrow but fuck you hardly hear PPG boxes get smashed around here unless some of the credit goes to others..

3-4 is on the same shaft did you get that upgraded too or just 1-2?

Full gears 1 to 4 with new crown wheel and pinion , with redline oil .

redline disolved it, check for teeth in the pan.

was it a new or second hand gearset? mismatched meshing gears?

Would warrenty cover this ???

what exactly did you upgrade?
1-4 gears, shaft?
selector forks?

No selector forks ,
just the gears set and Crown w & pinion.
