Default 98 GC8 WRX Exhaust query

1- do you need to dynotune after fitting turbo back 3” exhaust
2- cat back muffler, dynotunecrewuired?

I’m asking as my WRX has over 300k and the tuners are not willing to tell me if I can get away with either the full or partial exhaust ..

I just want it to sound like a WRX as it has a std exhaust now.

Engine will be rebuilt in about 12-18 months.

At 300+kms a fully forged uberbuilt motor would be at risk. A stock one is a hand grenade. No worthy business would touch it unless you did a full bottom up rebuild. And your bottom up would be about the position you'd be in to pay for such....

Cat/Diff back is safe enough to not need a tune.

That'll get you your sound.
