Default Adjusting rear sway bar

recently got whiteline ALK and adjustable rear sway bars installed on my MY99 wrx

when i look under the car, the rear sways has 3 holes at each end. the bar is bolted to the links thru the middle hole.

just wondering what setting am i on and which setting is the best to reduce understeering?

thanks.

Your on 24mm setting.. it goes from 22 (the shortest setting, closest to the bar) to 26mm.

I just had one fitted last week, used half a tank of fuel trying to find round abouts.

The 22 will be the firmest & should start to see it oversteer. Be mindful tho that this will place extra stress on your end links.

I think it's the opposite Chris, 26mm (holes closest to the inside of the bar) gives the most rigidity and will give the most oversteer characteristics.

And yes, best to replace your end links as well, I've snapped one just going up my old driveway, and I believe Geoff has broken quite a few.

hm... i'm not sure if mine is 22,24,26
cos the part number is BSR20Z, when i look it up on the whiteline website, it saids:

H/duty swaybar-rr Blade adjust.
R / 20 / D / Adjustable 18-22mm. Refer to KLC19 for high perfor / SUBARU IMPREZA WRX ADJUSTABLE
Code: #BSR20Z

does that mean i'm on the 20mm setting?
would it be better if i change it to 22mm setting?

Only one way to find out...

Try it, give it a week or two, go back to the middle setting for a while then go to the other extreme for a week or so. See what suits your driving best and enjoy the testing, that's the whole point of have adjustable suspension.

Another person in your car could well choose a different setting in the end, so I don't think anyone can tell you the correct or optimal setting to use.

Your bar is adjustable for an effective 18mm (holes farthest away from centre of bar) / 20mm / 22mm. If you're on the middle holes, then yeah you're on the 20mm setting. Personally, I would go straight for the 22mm.
