My dad hates snakes... he grew up in botswana where u get puff adders of all types and black mamba's the fastest land snake.... he got chased by a black mamba once and they are super aggressive.... he was only saved because as he ran into the house the flyscreen door had a spring on it and closed as the snake flew into it at waist height. His dad then shot it off the flyscreen with a shotgun.

They also had the green tree snakes that like to wait till u walk underneath them and then drop onto you around your head. Great way to get someone to lay an egg!

Well most snakes dont like heavy vibration as it fucks with their "hearing"

However some snakes will come towards vibration as they are aggressive bastards... like puff adders... they are the snake equivalent of jake the muss.

Yep, spread LOTS of bird seed in your neighbours back yard, far corner, away from your house!! Seed attracts birds and mice and rats, mice and rats have babies, snakes get wind of this and come in for an easy feed, while ignoring your backyard

The company i work for has a store at Caversham (Beechboro) and they have an avairy at the back of the nursery. ALWAYS plenty of snakes hanging around from what staff and customers have told me

yea as simon says they dont like vibrations. Thats what unsettles them so any building work etc in the area would def do it.

Get a dog, theyre normally good.

a Mate has a staffy was barkin the shit out of a plant pot in the house when i was over one day, told him to shut it but he kept going went to have a look big fuk off snake behind it!

Shinobiken you can try outdoor guard, its all spray on, av. at bunnings expensive stuff but its kept most bugs and other shit out of mine so far.

we also had a snake in the back garden that matches that description, but would of been 30-40cm long, also killed it via the old boot to the face trick.
