If they are mounted on the front windscreen, can't a stickler for detail of a cop do you for obstructed vision? I have witnessed a mate being fined for a tissue box on the front dash - no other reason for the stoppage.

According to the fines, I'd say the detector has a better 'eye'.

In the metro area, I have K-band disabled. Makes for a much more pleasant experience.

Can't say i'm overly impressed with my STI XR.
On multanova's it gives me enough time to smile for the camera.
Can't say it is that good on oncoming car mounted radar either(except country)
It does keep me aware of road workcrews and i have no chance of missing the 1 k stretch of road southbound on canning from just after the causeway to the top of the como hill.

My RX65 has always picked up multanova and hand held/car mounted radar very well in my opinion.

It's always going to be hard to have a lot of early warning for multanova, the way they are set up, whether they are running on high or low power modes and the narrowness of the radar beam means you will always get stuff all warning.

Also if you ever get a laser warning, you have already been pinged. I say "if" because unless your detector is mounted next to your numberplate, your detector won't detect it.
