Default Radar Detector Vertical Bracket *install pics now

I bought one of Jez's vertical brackets yesterday for my Escort X50. http://www.delonixradar.com.au/produ...l_bracket.html

Thanks again for dropping it off to me Jez.

Install is simple but finding the right place is still a bit question mark for me and I will be experimenting to find the best option.

On the way to a mates place last night I got my first hit on a multinova with the new bracket. It actually suprised me how much more notice I got with vertical install. So I doubled back and did the test both vbertically and horizontally. The vertical position def picked up the signal from a greater distance and much stronger.

Anyway once I have run it vertically for a month I will do a full report but for now I have to say it's a significant improvement over horizontal positon.

Waiting for mine at the moment, I'll most likely keep it mounted up high near my rear view mirror. Not the best position for laser, but I like it up there.

I'll try and get some pics when I find my camera

In the case last night I would say around 250 mtr but the strength of the signal was way stronger from the farthest distance it started picking it up.

Borrowed my old mans Bel when I went down south this weekend, literally saw the flash of the multinova before the radar even went off. Useless!

What model was it? Cos as Jezza has stated before, the RX65 is essentially useless against multinova if mounted horizontally. But as i said previously, the vertically bracket makes it a much better weapon.

Yeah get about 200 or so metres warning on my RX65 mounted vertically, compared to about 50-75m, if that, horizontally. Well worth it.
