Meh to K band being on all the time - Ive learnt and become familiar with the strength and sequence of chirps that my Bell XR rings out (whether its a "threat" or a false). I dont turn K band off - several times when i have been traveling out the back of ~wangara over to ~alexanda dr when i have had a persistent K band alert.......and low and behold a friendly police officer comes over the next hill..! Ive become so used to driving with RD's that its the "change" in chirps that I listen for.

as for vertical brackets - do they hold the unit in a secure position - or do they flop around more

They are a little more flimsy than the standard brackets Chrus. But i wouldnt think it'd be anything to be concerned about. Wobbles no more than the standard one did when i cranked the subs up in my car.

I was walking through bunnings and went through the fasteners aisle and found some L shaped brackets which i was thinking of joining up. The brackets were a few cents and with some cabletie or bolts i think something could be knocked up rather cheaply.

May not as good as these vertical mounts , but would it work?

Idea?

It has increased distance on the speed cameras by 200/300m It is a weak signal but as soon as I hear KA I jump on the anchors. I am happy with it, I am unsure how the bracket is supposed to work if you didn't have a gauge pod, as if my gauges weren't there it would be pointing sky high.

You might need to bend the bracket a bit more Dan, so it sits level.
