I've currently got a trial escort from Jezza. Found a nice little speed trap near my house yesterday. Id about 8 runs through it with the escort. of those 8 runs, 5 times it picked up a camera 2-400 metres ahead depending on where it was mounted on my windscreen. For the other 3 runs, i manually held it vertical and it gave me on the best run 700 metres notice!

Can't wait to try out the V1
Did you try out the Whistler at the same time?

Well after testing for a while now I can easily and happily say that the vertical bracket install is well worth the money for the huge improvement on signal strength you get on multinova. Saved again on the weekend and it gave me a good 500 mtrs notice I reckon. If you have a detector then buy Jez's bracket to go with it!

After using the vertical bracket for a test period I am convinced that my detector works much better than in the standard horizontal position.

Now the next issue is where to place it for hard wiring? It's currently low above the dash and off to the left of centre.

There seems to be no place to put it up high behind/next to the rear view mirror.

If you have a hard wired and verticle detector where do you have it placed?

When I had mine I had it going form the 12v ciggie lighter plug heading to the left under the plastic up and over the the crap in the passengers foot well and plugging into an telephone extension (attatched by a $2 coupler from Dickie smiths) cable and up under the plastic strip up the pillar and along the top of the windscreen with a small amount of black wire wrapping around the rearview mirror and into the unit just below the RVM.

Stealthy!

Not too sure how that would go with the vert bracket tho.
