Nah Scanners can be pretty useful Back in the day at Kingsway macca's (joe will remember this!!) the first person to fully use one was this tool in a white commy and it turned out pretty good!

You were around the corner from them when you took off, they did not get a radar gun on you. No yellow sticker for anything and you were not part of the cruise evidenced by the fact you had just left you mates place.
If you were driving past them sensibly and not drunk its all scare tactics.

Keep driving as nothing has happened to your licence and your car has not been confiscated.
