It wouldn't replace current systems. It would be an addition. So any argument for them is irrelevant in my book.

My thoughts exactly.
Better to run two systems that both generate a stream of income.

These cameras might catch those who are speeding, however the bulk of the dickheads on the road will not be deterred by said cameras.

Well that is how I see it.
