Everyone has done it, just not stupid enough to do it on the freeway.

Somewhere like the zig zags is much more appropriate.

Respect of the road?

Didnt see him doing a burnout and tearing the tarmac up?

Other road users - dont see any evidence that there anyone next to him at the time of the speeding?

Bring it on i say. Stop letting arsehole 17 year olds getting behind the wheel of WRX's (and other turbos cars) who think they're god and trying to break land speed records and using the roads as their personal race track endangering others.

Two p plate wrx drivers in a row? Are u kidding me? They are ruining it for all of us. I'm a p player but I don't drive like an idiot and I actually think the new law should come in banning p platers from turbo cars even tho I'm one of them! Doubt it will be introduced in the next 7 months tho so I should be ok but still, I think high powered cars are too readily available to younger drivers. It should be like the bike licence where we are only allowed to drive a car with certain number of cylinders or turbo according to our licence type. If we are tested it will be harder for the Muppets to obtain the licence and therefore they won't have the cars. Having said that I know a getz can do the same speed eventually but the temptation isn't there. That's my opinion anyway.

This is very true, but as stated earlier, the power of the car is not the problem, people just need a longer stretch of road with a smaller/less powerful engine to reach these speeds....the temptation to speed is always there, even in mum's Deawoo Matiz, people still will speed if they see fit,

The solution in my opinion is driver training, mandatory skid pans/advanced driver courses, would go a long way to help novice drivers on the road gain a better understanding of their cars, and how they respond to certain circumstances....(myself included)

It will require a solution that is thought out, all options covered and effective, but unfortunately the government only associates the word "speed" with "revenue raising" :/
