Maybe she had the fog lights on? Not knowing what sort of car it is, but it's a possibility. Can't have any lights on on the front of the vehicle lower than 500mm (measured from flat level ground to the lower edge of the headlight assembly). That's why you get pinged for having them on

The amount of cops i've been past with foggies on and they have done nothing but drive straight past....there are that many cars now with foggies as standard like the commodores, falcons, beemeers etc....

I guess they can't be bothered???

Take down badge number, take it to court - Make the officer piss.

Walk out of the courtroom, give him the grin.

find that some vehicles have them wired in with the normal headlights which make them "driving lights" and not foglights as the can't be turned off.

I always drive with my lights on, 24/7. And if any cop fines someone for making their car more visible on the road, they are a grade A piece of shit.
People should be encouraged to ESPECIALLY when driving on country roads in my opinion too.
But thats just mine and doesn't really count for shit.

As long as its factory, you have a switch that enables / disables it, also you will find your manual refers to them as fog lights. Like i said, newer cars come out with them on the same switch and refs to the lights as "driving lights" not foglights.

x4 and its encouraged if you read the signs around the place.

BUT i dont think this was actually the problem... Its about not having lights on during the day...

TBH it seems a bit far fetched. Looking out the window now (its 7.20pm) its still very light so of course 5.30pm is going to be daylight. NO copper would fine you for not having lights on during the day.
