Was the report released on April 01 as well?

i've been pulled over for "undertaking" a car before on the left hand side. They said, just because i can get to the speed limit faster than the car infront of me, there is no reason for me to do what i did ( i went around on the left before merging into 1 lane )

In Perth, we don't have 'fast lanes' or 'slow lanes', so technically, if you are on the freeway doing 100km in the right lane then the only real thing wrong with that is you should be keeping left, but as you said, there were cars in the left lane that were going slower than the speed limit, so technically, you were "overtaking" them without speeding so as far as I can see, u can signal a 1 fingered salute out the window next time.

have you also checked whether your speedo is reading correctly?

Manufacturers are allowed 5% error rate in their speedo's (police get 2%)
mine reads 5% over 80 = 84 actual, and the self proclaimed traffic vigilanti LOOSER in the RH lane who says they can stay right cause they are doing the speed limit has a speedo reading 5% under 80 = 76

An extreme example but you get the point - That looser in the right lane is dropping 5 to save lives and going even slower due to speedo variations. Then they wonder why there is road rage.

I say they are fair game for all kinds of abuse - as to the idiots behind you in the que random braking works well.

He did and almost hit me, I was in the correct lane (left lane) and he swerved so friggin quick to get ahead of us, because he was obviously so enraged that he almost side swiped me. I, now also enraged, hit my horn plenty of times. But there were wrx's in all three lanes, should have stuck to the left and/or middle lane.

EDIT: Tonkin Highway this morning had to overtake at least three cars who were in the right lane doing 80km!! No car's infront of them, plenty of room to get into the left lane etc. IMO, if your not going to do the speed limit get into the left lane, if someone is tailgating you even if your doing the correct speed in the right lane, get into the left lane and then get back into the right lane when safe (if necessary otherwise stay in the left). If they want to get caught for speeding, let them.

Spot on. Theres no reason to be in the right lane if your going to sit on the speed limit.

Good for them for being law abiding citizens, but fuck off and do it in the left lane so the rest of us can speed at will
