Test drove a Golf TSI today
HOLY CRAP!
1.4 litre twin charged DSG This thing is pretty unbelievable for a 1.4Litre! Handling is phenomenal, the DSG is wicked, has some nice features like self compensating mirror adjustments, both front seats height adjustable, sat nav unit for a few grand more includes 40gb hdd for music, sd card slot, touch screen nav with 10 speakers all for $42K drive away. I am well impressed and 7.2l/100 combined hwy is 6, flogging the shit out of it is 9-10l/100 This car would make a great commuter and I am definitely considering it! I thought about the GTI and the R32 but too much money and not as unique as owning a TWIN Charged car p.s the noise the engine makes is wicked.... PLUS IT HAS LAUNCH CONTROL* **voids warranty |

GTI is nice too. R32 isn't worth the money.
Check out the GT TDi if you get a chance. Bloody awesome value for money, feature packed and fast. Mind you, I'm waiting until August for mine to arrive.

I thought for once in my life instead of buying something on a whim, to actually drive a few other cars. The liberty has come and gone... It was traded for way too much *oops* The STI is still on the cards but after driving this TSI it seems to be a much more practical option to have.... e.g leave at a train station for 12 hours a day |

can u upgrade the TSI's front grille to the GTi front grille...
my g/f's parents looked at buying one, but in the end opted out and bought the same car they had sold (albeit the brand new model) but i am really interested to find out how they go for myself! |

The 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco will likely offer three engine choices. The base unit would be VW's 1.4-liter "Twincharger" four-cylinder that uses both a supercharger and turbocharger to make around 210 horsepower. The GTI's 2.0-liter tubocharged four will be the step-up option, and stepped up for the Scirocco from 200 to around 240 horsepower. Also expected is a 3.6-liter V-6 option with 280 horsepower, likely channeled through standard all-wheel drive. Other models will be front-wheel drive. All engines should team with a six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed sequential manual with automatic shift mode.
