This is the one I was gonna get, seems cheap for the gains.--

OTR Growler® Cold Air Induction
The OTR Growler® Cold Air Induction is a high performance over-the-radiator system. It uses two extremely efficient inverted cone rewashable pod filters attached to a ‘Y-Pipe’. The Y-pipe and filters are housed in a cowling which is specially designed to capture and channel the maximum amount of cool air through the filters and into the throttle body. The cowling clips apart for easy access to clean the filters.
As the OTR Growler® does not use the vehicle’s airflow meter, a maf-less tune is required when fitted.

The fitting instructions include a discount voucher giving $200 off the normal RRP from selected tuners for the maf-less tune.
As the unit is designed primarily for track use, customers should check with their state Road Traffic Authority regarding the legality for general road use.
The unit fits directly onto a standard car in less than 10 minutes (plus tune time) with no altering of radiator mounts.

Expect power gains of up to 39rwkw (incl. tune), huge increases in throttle response and torque – from zero to hero. Your car will also have that V8 Supercar sound.

RRP $699.00 including filters (plus tune).Suits all VE V8 models including HSV.
Part # OTR001

V8 drinks more fuel than a 6 turbo, brother has a 300+KW xr6 turbo and the old mans V8 was worse at the bowser than the ford.
But if you have the money to purchase either of these cars i don't think that fuel is going to be a problem i was just stating that fuel prices might decrease the price of a V8 faster than a 6 thats all.

Hrmm interesting set up. Haven't seen that one. If you are going to go a OTR on a VE then go the RUSSO OTR (search it on ls1 forums) but in all honesty, a MAFLESS tune doesn't give any more of a gain over a MAF tune due to no restriction on the VE models MAF. VE's are unlike the VT-VZ model MAF's.

You will also find, that the dyno tune will be where most of your power is made, so you'd be looking at probably a 10kw gain from filter....$700 for 10kw isn't that good imho. Also, OTR will leave you cleaning your filters EVERY week and they catch A LOT of dirt through that area!

Selling private is always going to get u a better price as u are paying the dealer for a "drive an old car in n drive a new one out" But u may also consider how long are u willing to have ur car up for sale? After a month or 2 of it stuck in the driveway u may sell it for less than what the dealer offers you.
Just something to take into account.
Oh, btw. From how u were talking at the start ur heart really lies with the VE not the falcon. Best thing i recon is look at ur car/cars u have at the moment. Pick the features you love in it n make sure ur new car has those. That way u know wat ur happy with cause u have had it b4. (something i always look 4)
