Mine did that to me yesterday. I have updated it to 2.0.1 firmware.

It came good after about 10 seconds.

If it happens again, press and hold the home button and power button for 10 seconds.

yeah mine did that last night too.

went out for dinner and some mates were playing around with it. i think they were all trying to use the touch screen at once and it froze

Has anyone needed to complete a Warranty claim for there iPhone?

My 16GB decided to die on me today

Tried everything possible to restore it but iTunes will not detect it.

It just sits on the Apple Logo for hours and does SFA.

***Update 2.0.2 is already released as well****
***Its the usual 250MB but dont forget if your with iiNet is all FREE QUOTA***
